Public databases such as EcoInvent are valuable foundations, but they often only provide generic average values. For accurate environmental assessments in a product context, however, specific, company-related, or material-specific data is crucial. In addition, information on novel materials, customer-specific processes, or current regulatory requirements is often missing. That’s why at Nexpirit, we rely on a combination of public sources, proprietary datasets, and intelligent data mapping – directly in your PLM system.
AI-based calculations can unlock data very quickly. However, the quality of the results depends on the quality of the underlying data, and AI cannot assess this. If data is missing, the AI estimates it to fill the gaps. This can lead to a lack of reliability in the results.
Our approach is transparent and traceable. You receive a quality index for each value, which you can use for your assessment. At Nexpirit, we combine intelligent algorithms with human expertise. This results in a balanced mix of automation and reliability.

With environmental indicators for materials, you can specifically select more sustainable alternatives, make well-founded decisions, and design your products in a more environmentally friendly way. You receive automated evaluations for thousands of components, as we proceed on a material basis. This way, you create a valid data foundation for your environmental balances – without complex LCAs at the product level.
Thanks to our add-on solutions, the extension is straightforward – we provide the data models and handle the integration seamlessly into your existing Teamcenter® structure. We also integrate: POPs, PPWD, Battery Directive, AfPS, PFAS, and others.
Only when this data is part of your central PLM strategy can it be used automatically, consistently, and continuously throughout the entire product life cycle. Your PLM becomes the “Single Point of Truth” – the central tool through which you control all your product lifecycle processes.
We adapt each of our solutions to your individual processes and systems. The development of new solutions is only applied when there is no existing module for your specific use case.
